Program Description:

Difficult Patients and Difficult Problems is a meeting for the head and neck clinician/surgeon to get up to date on topics of integrative medicine they may not be as familiar with. We will review lessons learned from emergency medicine from dealing with a disaster (Covid-19). We will learn about sports psychology approach from a Harvard and Boston Red Sox behavioral health expert for screening patients and improving performance in OTOHNS. We will hear from “the fixer”, a family/patient advocate expert with advice for handling difficult or unsatisfactory situations.  This meeting will include the approach to difficult patientspatients by a psychologist and expert in working with these challenging patients. These talks and the resident lectures will enhance our ability to deal with patients as clinicians increasingly combat the mental health epidemic we are facing.
