NEOS is accepting charitable donations specifically to increase the number of resident research grants that are offered on an annual basis. The purpose of the NEOS research award is to encourage residents to pursue research and to learn how to apply for grant funding. Residents submit grant proposals which are then reviewed by the NEOS research award committee. One grant is supported annually with an amount of 5,000 dollars. Residents then present the results of their research project the following year at the Spring NEOS meeting. Over the last several years we have noted a significant increase in the number of resident proposals submitted, and our goal is to increase the number of research grants awarded each year to a total of two projects. As a 501 (c) 3 organization, donations are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consider becoming a donor to support this extremely important endeavor.
